selene’s smile fades a little, but she nods, not wanting to let on how uncomfortable being royalty makes her
‘When he looks forward again, his own smile gets a bit smaller, having noticed hers fading, but not quite sure if it meant anything. He focused on riding for a while, still following Merc, who was still moving as fast as, if not faster, than the horses, seemingly without tiring, until they exit the forest, onto plains at the base of a huge mountain range.’
selene’s eyes widen when she sees the mountains, then she whispers “i… i /remember/ these! i remember seeing them, i was little but i remember!”
selene wanders in, smiling softly as she sits down in a chair “i like it maja, its really nice”Driv nods and chuckles as he sits on some pillows. “I see you’ve added a bit since I was here last. Very nice.” Maja chuckles. “Yes, yes I have. I found the previous layout a bit cramped for what I needed to do.” She looks to Selene and grins. “So, how long have you two been together, and how exactly do you… /get/ together?”
selene giggles and grins at her “we’ve been together for almost a year now… and as to how we aaah, have grownup fun? that driv can tell you!”
She raises an eyebrow. “Almost a year?” She turns to Driv. “And not a single sending or anything?” He holds up a hand. “We’ve been busy! And as for how we get together, well…” He stands back and transforms into his half-dragon form, and Maja’s eyes widen. “Since when can you do that?!”
selene giggles “some nutzo sorcerer where im from gave him that ability, its /awesome/”
Driv chuckles and shrugs. “That about it. Weird stuff happens when you travel the planes, I guess.” Maja just shakes her head and laughs. “Girlfriend for a year, and this? You really need to let us know stuff like this. I mean, you’ve got your privacy and all, but these are pretty major things, Bro.”
selene giggles and grins as she watches them talk, happy and content to just watch for now
Driv nods. “Like she said, we were very busy. To be honest, we were mostly busy with each other. Still, I will remember the sending next time.” Maja nods, still grinning. “Good!” She then turns to Selene. “One thing, if you don’t mind. You don’t smell human, so what race are you with your cute little ears?”
selene shrugs, curling up in her seat “im a faerie. from a different world, a changeling actually”
her brow furrows, then she shrugs and hop-skips up next to him “i’ll come. i dont know if i want to, but i’d rather be there and have the option than not”
She really was very young. Naive. And she should know better than to trust a stranger who was willing to murder other strangers for a very nebulous reason.
“If it becomes too much for you, you don’t have to stay. But I have a spare room for you while I track them down and plan it out. I can’t promise you a fun time, but I can give you vengeance.”
she smiles slightly and nods with a soft chuckle “all right, cool. its not really vengeance anymore though. just getting them offa my ass so i dont hafta worry bout gettin killed by them anymore” she says, then her expression turns thoughtful, although she doesnt voice what she’s thinking
she smiles softly at him and kisses him on the cheek lovingly “thanks, love you”
‘He kisses her back softly, before saying:’
Love you too, Selene.
‘Before anything else could be said, they began to hear the clopping of three sets of hooves behind them, and Merc, out of their vision, grinned.’
Finally!
selene looks over at merc, then smiles a little “time to go? cool”
‘Merc was looking at three pure white horses, all fitted with a saddle, in front of him, and he nodded in response.’
Yep! They didn’t give us a horse for the supplies, though. Whatever, I can manage.
‘He ties the two large bags of food and supplies over one of the white horse’s back, before turning into the same pony-sized wolf he became when he had to carry Selene back too her house, two weeks ago.’
Jaxis, Selene, you take one horse, Entus, you take the other. Let’s get goin’!
selene climbs onto one of the horses,someone uncertainly, then looks at jaxis expectantly
‘He climbs onto the horse in front of her, and took the reigns, then looked back at her, smiling.’
Just hold on, ok?
‘Then he looked forward once again, at Merc, who had already started off, and, with a snap of the reigns, the horse was after him, Entus following behind.’
selene wraps her arms around his waist with a tentative smile and nods slightly “yeah, ok. lets get goin”
‘As they continue to follow Merc, they enter back into the woods, following a dirt road through it, and Jaxis spoke, though he kept his eyes on Merc, in case a fork appeared in the road.’
I wonder… If the queen we just met was just A queen, imagine what your moms palace is gonna be like!
selene shrugs with a chuckle “it’ll be amazing i assume, we’ll see when we get there though”

“That’s what it says on my ID.” It wasn’t a lie, and yet it was an evasion. She wouldn’t be able to tell, though. He had more years than she on this earth, and all of them as a liar.
“My last name is Akihiro. Fits me a little more, does it not?”
she raises an eyebrow at him, then she chuckles softly and nods “yeah actually it does… ehehe, you are by far the most mysterious and therefore interesting person ive met, and ive met /a lot/ of interesting people”
He smiled at her. “Thank you.” He started off for his car, looking back at her. “You can come with me if you want. If you have a glamour ability, I’m sure you could stand and watch and they would never know it.”
